Enhancing the Range

The introduction of the F35-170 kV Dual Gas GIS enhances our SF6-free product portfolio with a new versatile product. Building on over six decades of expertise in gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) design and more than ten years of field experience with g³ technology, this solution is part of our commitment to providing robust, reliable infrastructure for modern electrical networks today up to 420 kV.

Advancing Grid Decarbonization with GRiDEA

The F35-170 kV Dual Gas GIS is designed to operate with either SF₆ or g³ gas, providing operators with a clear pathway to accelerate their grid decarbonization. By utilizing g³ gas, we not only achieve a 99% reduction in the gas’ CO₂-equivalent contribution to global warming compared to SF₆, but we also keep the same compactness as SF switchgear. This compact design minimizes the need for land and civil works while ensuring that we do not increase the consumption of critical raw materials which is a key pilar of our GRiDEA portfolio. Performance and accessibility remain uncompromised, even in space-constrained installations.

High Availability and Safety

Like the other products of the range, the F35-170kV is equipped with a proven pure-spring circuit-breaker drives recognized for reliability. The current transformer cores are positioned outside the gas compartment, providing protection against contact with arced gas. Thanks to the product compactness, the bays are fully factory-assembled, wired, and tested prior to shipment to ensure seamless site installation.

Digital Native GIS

The F35-170 kV is a digital-native platform, mechanically and electrically engineered to meet the demands of modern grid control. Designed to simplify integration and operations, this equipment provides high-accuracy monitoring and control capabilities.

  • Plug-and-Play Integration: The system is equipped with integrated sensors, including BWatch and PDWatch, ensuring seamless compatibility with the latest generation of digital devices.
  • Advanced Control: Features the CSD100 point-on-wave controller for high-precision switching and monitoring.
  • Factory-Ready: Every low-voltage control cubicle can be  pre-configured and fully factory-tested with each GIS bay to ensure fast, effective site connection and reduced commissioning complexity.
